FOCUS: Inner-city communities

Highlight View

OSJ has just begun working in the Highlight View community. Pastor Haughton (pictured right) of United Pentecostal Faith Church of God is keen to get his church looking outward and reaching out to help transform the community and invited us to put on a concert. The concert was held in the centre of the Highlight View on the main street on evening of 16 Feb 2003 and was met with great enthusiasm by both the church and the community at large. Our guest from the UK, Les Isaac, spoke, telling of his past and how Jesus has transformed him and ending with a challenge to those who wanted to accept Jesus as their saviour.

OSJ believes this area is ready for the community programme to be implemented and so will be identifying a team to oversee its excecution.
